Great news! Emain Macha is back in work and according to his trainer Greg Scholefield he is looking and feeling great.
Scholefield said Emain Macha has had acupuncture work on his muscle areas which the trainer believes was causing the champ to race below his best but he now seems bright and happy and ready to go to the trials. “I just have to find a set of trials down here at the Mount as I can’t take him over the border like I would normally do due to Covid-19” Scholefield said.
“But I’m more than happy with him, he’s only a seven-year-old and only had 70 starts” he added.
The son of Safari has won $296,402 from his 35 wins and 18 placings.
Emain Macha last raced on August 7th when he finished 42.8 meters behind Van Mara at Globe Derby but it will be great to have the champ back at the track.
