What A huge week for South Australian owners all around the southern Hemisphere.
It started at Cambridge in New Zealand when Majestic Cruiser, owned and bred in the South East by Des Glyn and his wife Heather, ran second in New Zealand’s first ever slot race, going down by just 0.4 of a metre, to former New Zealand Cup winner Self Assured.
In Launceston on Saturday night, Runaway Celebrity scored for a group of South Aussies that includes brothers Bruce & Craig Cameron, John Penny, and Nathan Woods.
Aaron Bain Racing, and Summit Bloodstock also cleaned up in Launceston when 3-year-old filly Soho Historia won. They also took home the Group1 Easter Cup with Longfellow.
They then combined with a group of other South Aussie owners to win with Von Art.
Also 2yo Southern Cross Champion Artillery ran a close up third in the Group 1 Riverina Championship after being used up from the outside gate and death seating before obtaining a trail midrace another great effort for the SA Ownership group.
Locally at Globe Derby a group of owners from the Port Pirie Region headed by Ashleigh Dunkley took out a double with Goes Boom and Ykikafil, now both under the care of team Harding.
